Directions

  1. Roughly chop half of the lotus root. Grate the other half, rinse in a strainer and dry.
  2. Grate the yam, mix with (1). Heat oil in a fry pan, pour in and cook well.
  3. After frying both sides of the yam well, arrange on plate, brush on the soy sauce and dress with katsuobushi and aonori seaweed.

Peel the skin and cut in half lengthwise, or cut in quarters lengthwise if thick. From the edge, cut irregularly into bite-sized pieces.
